PERRY BERRYMAN

Ordained Minister

I was born in Alabama, July 9, 1952. My father took a job in Memphis, Tn. and we moved there when I was six months old. I grew up in Memphis,  working on our farm that my dad worked, in addition to his railroad job.

My parents both gave their hearts to Jesus when I was about seven years old. I came to faith and was baptized when I was eight years old. For a number of years my parents would read my brothers, Sister, and myself, Bible stories at night. During my teenage years I drifted away from church as I picked friends who were bad influences on my Christian walk. I was in and out of church during my teenage years. After I graduated high school, I went to work for the railroad. My railroad career moved me to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1979.

Tulsa was the center of “The Word of Faith” movement. My family and I lived there for five years. There I was introduced to true intimate worship of the Lord, baptism of the Holy Spirit, healing, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There in Tulsa I began my spiritual education and my ministry. I helped start a church and was worship leader for the last year before moving back to Memphis, Tennessee in 1985.

Once back in Memphis, I went to work for the Memphis Fire Department In 1986. I worked 24-hour shifts, 10 days a month. It was during my firefighting career that I began my formal biblical education. I use the time on duty, when I was not participating in training or on emergency calls, to read, study, research, and write papers for Bible college. I received a Bachelor of Theology from Central Christian College in August of 1998.

I retired from the Memphis Fire Department in 2014 and continued my education at Abba Bible College in New Castle, Oklahoma, earning my Masters of Biblical Studies in August 2017 and my Doctor of Biblical Studies in May 2020.

My ministry experience includes helping start churches in Oklahoma and Tennessee. I have made 15 ministry trips in Mexico, two in Brazil, two in Guatemala, one in El Salvador, and am preparing to make my second ministry trip to Colombia. Presently I am the instructor and overseer of “Cross Life School of Supernatural Ministry” at Cross Life Church IN Watson, Mississippi. the school just completed its first semester covering The Life of Christ and major Old Testament characters. The school is the Lord's way of making a thorough study of the Bible, local and affordable.

In 2020, Holy Spirit compelled me to write my first book.  “Calling The Church To Power” exhorts the modern day church to walk in the miraculous power of God that is available through the Holy Spirit today.

My wife, Connie, and I presently live in Byhalia, Mississippi, within an hour drive of our six children, nineteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. We go to many football, soccer, and basketball games, and also attend many birthday parties.

Connie and I formed the “Hands of Jesus Healing Ministries” in 2013, here in Byhalia, Ms. We work closely together teaching the Word of God, healing the sick, and setting free those held in the grips of Satan’s darkness. We are more excited about the Kingdom of God every day.
